Membership in the Canadian Society of Military Medals & Insigni is open to all individuals who share an interest in military history and in the collection, preservation, study, and appreciation of military medals, badges and insignia and items related to these. Membership is governed by the principles, regulations and guidelines outlined in the CSMMI Constitution and the Society’s Bylaws.
Incentive Program
The CSMMI calls on all existing members to reach out and encourage potential new members to sign up. Expanding our numbers ensures a vibrant and sustainable Society. For your efforts, the CSMMI will provide a $10.00 credit to existing members for each new member signed up. Members can earn up to $30.00 credit in each calendar year. Credits will be alpplied to your next renewal dues.
BENEFITS
There are many benefits to a CSMMI membership.
- reduced admission at all CSMMI shows
- a subscription to the CSMMI Journal - a quarterly publication of articles related to our hobby
- a membership roster only available to members. Useful to find and reach out to fellow members who share your collecting and research interests.
- Each member is allowed one free bourse table per year (September through May) at our monthly shows.
- Members have preferred status to book tables at monthly shows and our popular Annual Two-Day Show.
- Members in good standing are eligible to hold office on the Board of Directors.
- Members can vote at annual and special meetings.
- Members are eligible to receive honours and awards from the CSMMI
- Members create the community of collectors, researchers, and stewards to share and advance the interests of our hobby.
- Members support the CSMMI communications programs including the website, Facebook & Instagram sites, and MilArt Blog.
MEMBERSHIP FEES
Regular Member (18 years old and over)
$35.00 annually (Canadian funds) - Canadian address members
$35.00 annually (US funds) - USA and Overseas members
Junior Member (under 18 years old) - no cost, but still requires an annual renewal.
Junior members do not have voting rights nor can they hold an executive office.
Junior Members receive CSMMI publications, communications and reduced admission rates to monthly shows.
